This project was developed for a live event focused on women in tech, where the goal was to create a presentation that felt both empowering and visually distinctive.
The deck was presented to a live audience and needed to support a narrative around community, visibility, and mutual support within the industry.
The core idea was to explore the tension and connection between heritage and innovation. I developed a visual language where women are depicted in baroque compositions, reminiscent of traditional oil paintings, while interacting with modern devices such as laptops and smartphones.
The scenes were designed to feel collaborative rather than individual, subtly showing gestures of support, exchange, and shared presence.
AI (Midjourney + Photoshop) tools were used to generate the base visual assets, allowing for a controlled exploration of this hybrid aesthetic. These outputs were then curated, refined, mixed with the corporate illustrations and then integrated into a structured presentation system.
To ground the concept within a corporate context, the visuals were combined with:
IBM Plex Light typography, maintaining clarity and hierarchy
existing corporate IBM illustration principles
a restrained color palette aligned with brand guidelines using the Blue 60 and some tiels from their library of swatches
subtle digital textures to bridge the classical and technological elements
The result is a deck that balances expressiveness with usability, ensuring the visuals support rather than distract from the content.
